Disgusted.

So, has anyone else ever been at a point in your life where you're just completely frustrated and disgusted by almost every aspect of your existence?

Because that's where I'm at right now, and I'm not sure how (short of a few miracles) to fix it.

Hey dude...If you're at that point in life, then you need to make some changes. I think you've put far too much time into trying to make things work and it's not getting any better for any length of time. Figure out your plan and make a move!

I sure have been there. What I did was:

1. Take a week off work.
2. Get a new therapist.
3. Leave the relationship I was in.

Now I have a new job, a new fiance, and a new outlook on life. :)

(Not that I'm suggesting you take this approach...though therapy is always fabulous!)

Only once. It resulted in a downward spiral of self-destructive behavior that very nearly killed me. Fortunately, I had good friends who came to my rescue and got me turned around. My advise is to never let it get to that point, because it is very, very difficult to crawl back up outof the hole you've dug. Get help now while you are just starting to slide, because the trip back out is so much easier...

It may not seem like it will help but I know you, I know your mind. Youre a writer.

w r i t e.

And you just look whatever the problems are in the face and say "Im not working for you anymore, Mr Chinese man," or whatever the problem is. You just have to be bigger and stronger than the problem.

I'm totally with Dave on this one, but I went down the hole twice...it takes me a little while to learn my lessons.

Change change change is the best thing, even though it is the hardest. Don't fear going in the opposite direction than the one you have been, because that is probably the best one.

IF it helps at all, I am right there with you and know it is hard to do the opposite of what my gut says half of the time, but I feel much better than I did a month ago.

Been there. I think it fixed itself but I forget how.

Nothing is forever, that's all I can say.

Take a day off. Get a sitter and take a drive to the coast before summer is really over, get a massage, something, ANYthing to just get away for a little bit.

Once you get to this point and you feel like you're stuck then you - consciously or not - take it out on everyone else and then everyone is miserable. It's a big ugly circle. But at least at this point it's fixable (presumably).

Good luck. Hell, I'm taking Tues night off, wanna go for a ride? :o)

Oh yeah, all the time.
Sounds like it's time to make a change.
